My favorite things to buy at Costco!

Costco is one of my favorite places to shop in the whole entire world. They have such awesome deals, and to be honest I just really like the atmosphere of the whole store. My kids love it too, because of the samples, so that’s a huge added bonus!

Funny story to prove our obsession with warehouse stores… One time a couple of years ago at a Sam’s Club  (not Costco, I know, I know, but we didn’t have one in the area we lived, and its a big warehouse, samples, same kind of idea) we went in to grab a couple of things and 3 of the sample ladies knew Jay, my cute little 18 month old at the time, by name! They were calling him over to their tables, and so excited to see him. Apparently we visit these warehouse stores a little too often, haha.

Anyways, back to the favorites! Here they are, in order of how I pick them up when I go grocery shopping:

Bananas- (1.39) – they are just really cheap and you can get so many of them. Whatever we don’t eat we freeze for smoothies, or make banana bread with.

Spinach-($4.29) Costco always has such a good deal on spinach. It is a lot of spinach too and its organic! We use spinach mainly in our scrambled eggs/omelettes, for our salads and smoothies. If you have extras, and don’t want it to go bad, you can freeze it to use for smoothies later.

Sweet Kale Salad-($4.99) its making me salivate just thinking about this salad, tmi? But honestly this salad is amazing. We usually split the bag in half and use it as two side salads for two different dinners. But we’ve also had it be the main course for dinner with some sliced, grilled chicken breasts on top.

Hummus-($5.99) I love buying a big container of hummus. It lasts really well and is so much more cost efficient than buying it at the grocery store. Also, Costco carries Kirkland brand mini hummus packets, which are really great for on the go. We mainly dip veggies in hummus: carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers, and I love hummus in my quinoa bowls or wraps.

Tillamook Cheese/Feta Cheese/ Parmigianno Reggiano- (varying prices) Coscto CHEESE! Its such good quality. And very inexpensive. We get the big blocks of Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese and then grate it for eggs, quesadillas, tacos, etc. and slice it for sandwiches, grilled cheese, burgers, and snacking. The Feta Cheese and Parmigianno Reggiano both go on sale, so watch for that so you can get it for a deal. They both last forever too.

Spinach, Artichoke & Parmesan Dip- ($7.99) We love this dip for when we are entertaining. It’s so easy and tastes homemade. We love dipping crackers, veggies, or even slices of baguette in this.

Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk- ($6.99) this is the best price on almond milk I’ve ever found. Nick and my boys go through three cartons a week, so the low price is helpful, haha.

Regular Milk- ($3) the price on the milk at Costco also can’t be beat. You can get two gallons for the price of one at a regular grocery store. And fun fact, you can freeze milk in its carton. So if you don’t have enough room in your fridge for two gallons of milk just stick one in your freezer, and bring it back into the fridge a couple days before you plan to need it.

Eggs- ($3.79) we love to get their cage-free eggs, 18 count, they are well priced and big, so you don’t have to cook as many. If you go through a lot of eggs, you can get their 5 dozen, for a really good price.

Water Bottles-($2.99) Its such a steal. We always have a few packages of water bottles in our basement for food storage. And then Nick loves taking water bottles with him to school, or when the boys and I are on the go.

Kirkland Three Berry Blend (Frozen Berries)-($9.49) these berries are organic, which is awesome, since berries are on the “dirty dozen” list. But the berries are also super well priced, and just really tasty in general.

Frozen Edamame-($11.49)The frozen edamame is a genius way to eat more fiber and protein! You just throw a little package in the microwave for 3 minutes and you have a yummy, healthy snack.

Kirkland Pizza-($9.99 for cheese, $11.99 for pepperoni) they have cheese or pepperoni, 4 come in a pack. We love these for a last minute dinner. They’ll last for a couple or a few meals, depending on your family size, so its a really good deal.

Tortilla land Tortillas-($6.49) these are the only tortillas we will eat these days because they are so dang good, and taste so fresh. It comes with two little packages, so if you don’t think you’ll be able to finish them, stick the second package, unopened in the freezer!

Frozen Chicken Breasts-($16.99) we’ve been buying chicken here forever. It’s a really great deal and I love that the breasts come vacuum sealed, so you can defrost them in the fridge really easily. The tenders are great too for more individual sized portions.

Kirkland Pre-cooked bacon-($10.89) this is kind of a splurge item for us, we don’t buy it all the time. But it is such an awesome product. The bacon is pre-cooked, so you just have to microwave it for around 30 seconds and its ready to eat. So easy for BLTs, salads, and alongside eggs for breakfast.

Greek Yogurt-($5.69) such a great price! and its good quality greek yogurt. We eat it with granola, berries, and sometimes some honey drizzled on top. We also use this in baked goods and smoothies!

Dave’s Killer Bread-($7.59) the cheapest you’ll find Dave’s Killer Bread anywhere.  I always freeze the second loaf until we’re ready to use it because we don’t go through bread super fast.

Tortilla Chips-($3.79) such an amazing deal! You get so many chips in that big paper bag.

Sweet Potato Crackers-($7.99) these are our favorite crackers ever. We eat them mainly with yummy cheeses; they look really pretty and fancy on cheese plates if your entertaining fyi! They are gluten free too, so if gluten is an issue for you, this is a great option.

Harvest Snaps-($6.79) my kids love these, and I love that they are eating veggies in some form! They go on sale sometimes for really cheap.

Kirkland Applesauce-($9.99) we all love this applesauce. Its a really good price and you get so many in the box.

Olive Oil-($14.99) really good quality olive oil that is at such a great price point.

Chocolate Chips-($8.99) these are amazing and apparently dairy free too! The bag is huge and will last you through a lot of batches of chocolate chip cookies.

Chocolate Covered Mangos-($9.69) oh my gosh, I think I’ve dreamt about these before, that’s how good they are. One time when we were living in Amarillo, TX (where they don’t have a Costco), I drove 1 1/2 hours, just to get these bad boys. Good times, it was so worth it. You won’t regret getting these. Except you might regret wanting to eat them all in one sitting, haha.

Now, what am I missing?? What are your favorite Costco finds? I’d love to hear!
