Two tips for better skin in 2018

A couple of months ago, I was talking to a friend of a family member, who’s a Master Esthetician. I’m always so curious about skincare and peoples routines, and tips, so I asked her what the most important thing is to be doing for our skin. She told me these two things:

  1. SPF 50 everyday-I’ve started apply this sunscreen on my face after moisturizer and right before foundation (if I’m using foundation that day). Its very affordable (which I love), and light so I don’t feel like it affects the way my makeup looks.
  2. Using a Clarisonic brush to cleanse the face-As of the last month or so I’ve been using it a couple times a week and have loved it. I always feel extra cleansed and fresh after. *If a Clarisonic brush isn’t an option right now, I think even cleansing your face morning and night with a facial cleanser would be a huge step towards better skin. The Clarisonic just allows for a little bit more of a deep clean.*

I’ve started incorporating both of these into my skincare routine (if you can even call it that? haha. I just started washing my face every night a couple of months ago, so I’m definitely no expert). But already, I’ve noticed awesome awesome results.

Do you have any skincare secrets? What are they?

Have a lovely weekend. 2.7.18

What are you up to this weekend? We have a lot of time at home to soak up. Charlie has a double ear infection, poor guy, and I think I’m going to attempt potty training Jay, since we’ll be stuck at home so much anyways. Am I crazy for thinking thats doable? If not, wish me luck! **already realized this is crazy, haha, so I have aborted this plan! Saving it for next week**

A cute springy shirt I’m crushing on lately.

I’m reading this book book for a book club right now, and I’m so excited about it. Have you read it? What were your thoughts?

I’ve always wondered what it meant if I wasn’t sore after a workout. I found this article helpful.

How to know when a child’s flu turns serious. This is great, with the scary flu season we have going on, very informative.

I’m making this for lunch this weekend, and I’m so excited to see how it turns out.

I’ve been experiencing some major Wanderlust lately (winter always gets me this way), so I loved this article. And also, so excited about the fact that New Orleans is #1, such a fun and unexpected place.

This book looks like such a meaningful and enlightening read on race. I’m dying to pick it up.

Some shoes that I’m eyeing.

Some punny little valentines, that one of my best friends Ellie showed me, to print off and give to friends and family.

I just started the 7-day financial tune-up, thats offered for free by the NYtimes. Each day it sends you a task to improve your finances. I’m really looking forward to it.

I hope you enjoy your weekend!
