A few Easter brunch ideas

With Easter coming up this Sunday, I get so excited about the little traditions we have surrounding the season. Easter is an especially awesome holiday for us, being Christian, because we get to celebrate the Resurrection of the Savior. This year, we are trying to keep the weekend very centered around Christ and the meaning behind Easter (although it can be very easy to get caught up in the Easter bunny and candy! Even for me as an adult).

We decided to simplify and we are only holding onto a couple of our Easter traditions.. One of the things we love to have, is an Easter brunch. We sit together as a family and enjoy a good meal and get to celebrate together, and talk about.

Below are some Easter brunch ideas, some that we’ve done over the years, some that are new. The only thing that I require out of my Easter brunch recipes is that most of the work can be done before hand (so no slaving over the stove flipping pancakes) to keep things easy. This year we are doing quiche, per Nick’s request!

Cinnamon Toast French Toast -we made this recently, it was awesome. It’s kind of like a casserole, so I did all of the work the night before; it was so easy the day of! We added berries and syrup.

Spinach and Bacon Quiche-I love quiche for the fact that it isn’t sweet, so its balancing out all of the sweets we eat for the rest of the day. And a good spinach and bacon quiche is so yummy.

Empty Tomb Rolls-have you heard of these? They’re awesome! It’s a neat idea to teach kids about the resurrection in a very physical way.

Broccoli and Cheddar Quiche-a yummy quiche with ingredients I have in my pantry already! If you don’t want to make your own quiche, Costco sells a pack of two quiches similar to these, in the refrigerated foods section for about $10.

The Best Cinnamon Rolls-Cinnamon rolls are always my Easter brunch idea of choice! They are so yummy, and make it feel like a special occasion (since I never make them because they require so much work the night before). And this recipe is my favorite, the cinnamon rolls always turn out amazing.

What do you like to make for Easter brunch?
